Today’s battlefield has evolved into an extremely complex and connected environment. Warfighters on the move need to access critical information across multiple domains as they are not able to remain and operate in a single environment.

Historically, these demands have resulted in the warfighter having to transport, carry and operate multiple, large, complex and disparate systems, which costs the U.S. government time, money and valuable personnel resources.

To combat this, Klas Government has devised the Voyager Virtual Multi-Enclave System (VMES).

Rapid Replacement in the Field


No one needs to be reminded that in conflict, lives are at stake. Ultimately, good communication saves lives and leads to mission success. This is the driving force behind the need for change.

Timely mission completion is not guaranteed when military units require network technicians to re-configure broken networking equipment components in the field.

With Voyager, operators can lifecycle modules and chassis in the field without replacing entire kits. They’re then able to pull the Voyager Ignition Key (VIK) from damaged route and switch equipment then insert it into functioning hardware to load existing configurations.

Scaling Across Different Mission Sets ​

Gone are the days of palletized equipment. Say hello to Voyager, a modular and small form-factor tactical communications system of systems that fits in an airline carry-on-size rollaway case.

These highly portable systems scale to support en-route, initial entry and follow on forces up through corp. or battalion-level communications.

Many missions require access to multiple networks such as NIPRNet, SIPRNet and a colorless core, with RoIP, high user port density and compute power for each. In this scenario, only two Voyager cases are required to house everything needed to power, charge, cool and operate the system, thus drastically reducing hardware footprint and deployment costs, not to mention enabling rapid network set-up and increasing mobility in the field like never before.

Voyager allows users to become agile and scale horizontally and vertically to different mission sets without exhaustive logistics planning.

  • Horizontal – adding a TRIK, TDC and ISR Kit to the system to complete Integrated Tactical Networks (ITN)
  • Vertical – adding phones or drops to support additional users. Can scale from early entry  (2-4 users) to JTF (100+ users).

The first case contains all of the routing, switching, cryptographic, and processing for the Colorless and NIPRnet enclaves.

Based on mission requirements, our team can rapidly integrate commercial software and hardware technologies with Voyager. Our qualified engineering team is willing to work with commercial companies during the product design phase to integrate their technology into the Voyager form factor.
