How this Privacy Notice Applies to you
This general privacy notice (“Notice”) describes how Klas Limited and its subsidiaries (collectively “Klas”) may Use Personal Data about you when you interact with our company through various channels; the acquisition and use of Klas products and services, accessing the Klas website, platforms, processes, applications, events and engaging in business dealings with us (“Channels”). This Notice also informs you about your privacy rights and the measures and processes we put in place to protect your Personal Data. Klas is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your Personal Data. If you provide Klas with Personal Data about somebody else (such as a friend, work colleague, family member) you must have that person’s permission and consent to do so.
Terms
For the purpose of this Notice, “Personal Data” is data, or a combination of data, from one or more sources, that identifies or could reasonably be used to identify an individual. In this Notice, we refer to you as “you” or “your”. We use the term “Use” when we refer to the access, collection, recording, organization, structuring, retrieval, disclosure, storage, transfer, deletion or otherwise use of your Personal Data.
Scope
This Notice applies whether you are a customer, visitor, shareholder, supplier or business partner, job applicant, or any other individual with whom we engage or who is involved in our business activities. Klas operates as a product and service provider for business to business transactions. Our collection and processing of Personal Data are primarily confined to instances where it is necessary to facilitate business dealings, and at the request or direction of our customers, suppliers or business partners.
Types of Information we may collect and process about you
The information that we Use about you may include various categories of Personal Data depending on your interactions with Klas, third parties with whom we collaborate, or external sources that provide us with your Personal Data. We have outlined below the main categories of Personal Data and, where applicable, categories of sensitive Personal Data that we may collect about you.
Examples of general categories of Personal Data | |
Business Contact Information | name; organization, job title, business email address, business telephone number. |
Network Information | IP address; login data, network, browser type and setting, time zone and geo-location. |
Usage Information | the searches you perform and actions you take while visiting or using our website or helpdesk. |
Log on Information | Access to certain Klas web pages, services, products or online activities may require that you create, or are provided with, a ‘log-on’. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your login username and password information. |
Voluntarily Disclosed Information | any information you provide to us through web forms or other communication tools available to you while engaging with Klas. |
Resume Information | education and/or employment history, skills, background checks, certifications. |
Data from social media activities and monitoring | Social media is included in our Channels to share important news about our products and business activities. When monitoring these particular Channels, we may receive aggregate information or access Personal Data about you, such as your username, profile, and what you say, like or comment on our channel; |
CCTV | Personal Data on CCTV footage recorded for security and health and safety purposes; |

Where do we get your information from?
In most cases, Klas will collect information directly from you, although sometimes we will obtain information from public or third-party information sources or from use of our website or helpdesk. Such circumstances may include:
- if you register for an account on a Klas website;
- if you register to attend a Klas event;
- if you participate in a survey or other marketing event;
- if you ask to be included in an e-mail or other mailing list;
- if you use certain Klas products or services (such as helpdesk services);
- if you contact us through the website, or by e-mail or any other means;
- from marketing/social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Google;
- automatically, such as for security and systems monitoring (e.g. through video (CCTV) recording) and building access control logs when you visit our offices or in other contexts made apparent to you at the time; or
- if you choose to submit Personal Data to Klas for any other reason.
Cookies and Analytics
Klas, as well as our service providers (including web analytics companies and other third parties), Uses cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to automatically collect certain information—including Personal Data—from your computer or mobile device over time and across different websites, as further described in our Cookies Policy.
How we Use your Personal Data
We will only Use your Personal Data when the law allows us to.
If you choose to provide us with your Personal Data, your Personal Data may be Used by us for the following purposes:
- the purpose(s) for which you provide it;
- verification purposes and statistical analysis;
- marketing and administration purposes;
- to complete a transaction or in order to deliver products, services, or materials requested by you;
- to perform our obligations or enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us;
- to notify you about changes to our websites or applications, or any products or services we offer or provide through them;
- to improve our websites, applications, services, and products, including by developing data analytics and reports about your and others’ use of them;
- to combat fraud or any other criminal activity; and
- as otherwise required or permitted by law.
Disclosure of Information
In order to respond to your requests Klas may need to share your Personal Data with third parties and if that is the case Klas will only share information necessary to handle your request and will require such third parties to limit their Use of your Personal Data to the extent required to fulfill your request. We will Use your Personal Data to provide products and services you have asked for, to respond to call-back requests, and to provide specific marketing materials you have requested. If we do need to share your information with third parties to fulfill your request, such third parties may include our subsidiaries and affiliates, business partners (for example in the case of joint sales promotions, or distributors); service vendors; complementary product or service vendors; shipping companies; and postal and government authorities (such as customs authorities).
Third-party service providers, business partners and suppliers receiving your Personal Data are expected to maintain privacy and security protections that are consistent with Klas’ privacy and information security policies. These companies are authorized to Use your Personal Data only for the purposes for which it was originally collected or as required or permitted by law. However, unless otherwise dictated by law or agreement, Klas is not responsible for any improper use by such parties.
Klas may also disclose your Personal Data and other information, including across country borders, as follows:
- to comply with the law or in response to a subpoena, court order, law enforcement or government request, or other legal process,
- to produce relevant documents or information in connection with litigation, arbitration, mediation, adjudication, government or internal investigations, or other legal or administrative proceedings, if Klas determines in its good faith judgment that such disclosure is necessary to provide its services or to protect the rights, interests, safety, or property of its business, employees, suppliers, customers, or others,
- in connection with any proposed or actual sale or other transfer of some or all assets of Klas, and/or any proposed or actual sale or merger of Klas or any division of Klas,
- to enforce the terms of any agreement with Klas,
- to combat fraud or other criminal activity,
- for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information,
- as otherwise required or permitted by law, and/or
- with your consent.
Transfer of your Personal Data to Other Countries
In accordance with applicable law, Personal Data covered by Notice may be transferred to, and processed and stored in, the United States or any other country in which Klas or its affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, business partners, or customers maintain facilities, even if the level of data protection required in that country differs from that required within the European Union. For such data transfers, we may use the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. By submitting your Personal Data to Klas, you consent to such transfers and to the worldwide Use of your Personal Data.
Security of Your Information
We maintain reasonable physical, technical, and administrative procedures and practices to safeguard the Personal Data that we collect, and as is appropriate for the nature of the information. However, we cannot ensure the absolute security of your information, particularly of information you transmit to the Channels over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks; you transfer the Personal Data at your own risk. Some ways to protect your Personal Data include changing passwords often, using a combination of letters and numbers in passwords, and making sure you use a secure browser. In addition, be aware of phishing attacks, which attempt to steal consumers’ personal identity data and financial account credentials. Phishers use ‘spoofed’ emails to lead consumers to counterfeit websites designed to trick recipients into divulging sensitive Personal Data such as credit card numbers, account usernames, passwords and personal tax numbers. Klas will never send you an email asking you to provide or confirm sensitive Personal Data. If you receive a communication such as this, please immediately forward it to legal@klasgroup.com and immediately delete it from your computer.
Links to Third Party Websites
The Klas website may from time to time contain links to and from third party websites, some of which may be co-branded with the Klas logos. These websites are not operated or maintained by Klas and Klas does not share your Personal Data with such sites. If you follow a link to any of these sites please note that Klas does not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy statements or privacy practices of such third parties. Although we choose our business partners carefully, your use of their websites is entirely at your own risk. Once you have left our website you should make a practice of checking the relevant privacy notice of the third party website in order to determine how they will use the information they collect from you.
Retention Period
We will retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Notice. The criteria used to determine such retention periods include: (i) the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you; (ii) whether there is a legal or business obligation to which we are subject; or (iii) whether a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, for example to maintain certain contractual or tax records.
Your Choices and Rights
Your Rights
Every visitor to our Channels has the following rights:
Access. You have the right to request that Klas provide you with copies of your Personal Data.
Rectification. You have the right to request that Klas correct any information that you believe is inaccurate or complete information about you that you believe is incomplete.
Erasure. You have the right to request that Klas erase your Personal Data, under certain conditions.
Restriction. You have the right to request that Klas restrict the Use of your Persona Data, under certain conditions.
Objection. You have the right to object to Klas’ Use of your Personal Data, under certain conditions.
Data Portability. You have the right to request that Klas transfer the data that we collected to a third party, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
You also have the right to file a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

Children and Privacy
Our website does not target and is not intended to attract children, Klas does not knowingly solicit Personal Data from children, or request Personal Data from them.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This legal notice and all issues regarding this website are governed by Irish Law and are subject to the Irish courts.
Severability & Waiver
Delay or failure on our part in enforcing any of our rights shall not constitute a waiver by us of our rights and remedies. If any part of this Notice is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of the remainder will not be affected.
