Klas celebrates grand opening of new 42,000 sq. ft. facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

On August 25th, we opened the doors to our new 42,000 sqft. facility on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland with live demonstrations on the next generation of interoperable tactical and deployable communications solutions. Our new facility is a response to the rapid growth we’ve experienced over the last decade and to further our commitment to providing reliable communications and innovative solutions to our military. We are in awe of the turnout and are grateful to those who showed up to support us. Thank you!

Our new integration facility will primarily be used to integrate, deliver, sustain and support tactical edge communications systems. Being physically located on Aberdeen Proving Ground with a team of highly motivated individuals, we’re now able to efficiently and effectively collaborate and communicate with our industry and government partners, test our joint solutions, and discuss how we can securely integrate the latest COTS technology to fulfill capability gaps identified within our DoD. Klas Manufacturing Solutions’ President and CEO, Kunwar Harricharran, came out of retirement to lead this team  because of his passion for supplying warfighters with the tools they need to be successful on the battlefield.

We’d like to share a few highlights from our grand opening:

  • We made a donation to the 2021 David C. Robinson Memorial Stem Scholarship Fund that was accepted by David Lockhart, President of the Aberdeen NDIA chapter.
  • Danielle Akwara, from the Congressman Ruppersberger’s office, stated, “Klas’ endeavor further cements APG as the heart of Army Modernization. Integrating multiple products and technologies into a system that will enable or empower soldiers to communicate effectively and make better decisions faster in some of the world’s most dangerous environments will save lives.”
  • MG (Ret.) Randy Taylor, USA explained how our endeavor is unprecedented and will not only be great for Harford County, but will be even better for the US Army and joint forces. He explained that Klas is known for being responsive to the warfighters’ needs and having them serve the conventional Army at this scale is an incredible capability.

We’re officially open for business and have already started integrating solutions at our new facility. To learn more or to schedule a private tour of our facility, please contact info@klasgov.com.
